The greatest treasure hunt of all times is thought to be of the Treasure Pit in Oak Island. This island is in Nova Scotia, Canada. The treasure pit was first discovered by a teenager named Daniel McGinnis in 1795.

He discovered a tree which had came to his attention due to its freakish scars. It appeared as though it had been employed along with a rope as a pulley to ascend or lower unknown items into a shaft below. The soft soil and the depression in the ground of roughly 4.8m certified the presence of a shaft. Recalling urban fables regarding the area he was enthralled by his finding. Next day, he came together with two friends and started to dig. There had been a pattern noticed as the digging proceeded which entrapped them further. At every 3m, 6m and 9m level, Oak logs were noticed.

After the removal of these logs and discovering more marks along the smooth clay of the earth, the men were convinced of concealed treasure. They thought about gold, silver, bullions, gold coins, gold nuggets, meteorites and what not. Who doesn't dream about having superb jewels and how you could be sufficiently lucky to have found it at the age of 16. However, it wasn't supposed to be. The men tired and weary, knew digging further was pointless since they were never equipped correctly. They left with a heavy heart promising to return some day. It took them 9 years to establish a research company. Then they returned with full finance support; this time prepared to secure the long forgotten treasure.

They dug deeper and deeper but many issues were confronted. The primary concern was regarding sea water which had started to seep causing problem in digging. But before the area was flooded, a vital stone was recovered. This stone was etched with symbols. It was given to be studied and translated. The interpretation fascinated many. It was deciphered as follows:

"Forty Feet Below, 2,000,000 Pounds Are Buried"

Many excavations have been carried out since; but all in vain. Even a diagonal shaft was dug to reach to the desired location, however it became heavily flooded causing all to flee to save their lives in time. The place has been studied and some believe it to be haunted. Pictures have been obtained showing orbs that glimmer with an energetic glow. Even after the interpretation of the stone, it is still thought to contain treasure more valuable than gold and silver.

The myth still prevails. If you are prepared for some luck and a large amount of excitement, grab a hold of the GPS maps and tools we offer; then take off.
